Armada is a small town located in Macomb County, Michigan. The city was founded in 1832 and was originally named Burke's Corners after the first settler in the area, Elijah Burke. In 1838, the town was officially named Armada after a village in New York. Armada was incorporated as a village in 1864 and later as a city in 1964.
